regarding plants, I would like to see them using the same name convention that landscaping companies are using...so when you get a landscape plan you don't have to figure it out anything.
For cars a collection of American cars....I got complains all the time about my European cars( better cars by the way).
3D People...more Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, etc....(different clothes by seasons).
    show me the money!!

      Great models Dmitry!!!
We do shitloads of offices and interiors so these would be very handy, please make sure you notify mi through PM once you have the sales open

      As for other models tips:
      *Nice, modern sofas
*Generaly good cahirs and dining table are very scarce
*Decoration objects for modern interiors - but nothing too "designered"...more like here: http://deconcept.cz/
*and yes, nice plants in general - wait for the GrowFX 2.0 with nodal interface ))

          Noted.

Yeah we will be exploring growfx as an option. Sounds like its the only real method to creating good plants, but I've looked at the tutorials there and its still a many step process. Will deferentially be a part of rnd.

Regarding cg people I've actually comitted some rnd in that area already. Using photgrametry scanning to get bases and produce high quality textures. Worked out well on the test, but its really expensive So we need to figure out some stuff in that regard

            I would love:

            - realistic beds
            - vases with realistic flowers and good quality pot plants
            - good quality bathroom accessoires, especially towels (stacked, hanging), shower gels, natural bath sponge, a modern wicker laundry basked...stuff like that. Modern but soft and natural looking.
            - modern curtains and rigged blinds

            Your samples look great btw.

Great info, thanks for the reply. I've compiled a list, will get going on that It's amazing how much time these things take

I've committed some rnd for humans already using photogrammetry as i posted in my reply above. But its very expensive and time consuming to even just get the mesh out, before rigging and other stuff. I have to think about a valid way of handling humans but its definitely in the works.

We'r in a process of building a small car library as well, with the goal of having extremely clean topology, subdividable, with production ready uv's and textures: example below.

cant view example and NO. No No No.

Do not polymodel it. There is plenty of that around. Do it properly. Nurbs. with good reflections and so on. Then you can charge for it properly and ull generate more interest from higher levels automotiv viz companies. No1 want polymodel cars.

Whats wrong with poly modeling them?

Its quite difficult to find good nurbs modelers and also, difficult to texture the surfaces.

Well there is quite big problem with reflections... the way topology is made and how it affect reflections. Once you work with CAD data and see how reflections react its quite a big difference from Polymodeling. Also for cars. Well you dont really need UVS... All is procedural and so on. Another things are bevels. People always do too tiny bevels or most of the time.

I agree finding modelers for cars in nurbs is quite hard... u usually want a guy with a A grade certificate in nurbs modeling or something like that.

Its just my personal opinion. But every model I had to buy I spend good 2-3 days correcting it afterwords. I'd prefer to pay 3x more for the model and get it good looking out of the box rather than correcting it.

Maybe you could open a service for modeling cars rather than making stock ones ? Nurbs its quite time consuming and pricey so might not worth it to be a stock approach.

Polymodel well there is lots of them around, you have quite some competition...

Morbid, any chance you could post your Studio scene? Always curious to break these down and see different workflows. I know it's probably like most others, but I'm curious.

I'll post it in a bit. Its just three area lights with soft cards in them two against the wall one at the meshes, pretty much how they set up the real lights in studio.

I don't disagree with what you are saying. We will try to make the models match as close as we can. But we need polys because we plan to texture them. It all comes down to costs at the end of it all. So far it's looking like modeling cars isn't very profitable, same with humans.

Drapery, such as clothes draped over beds or tables. Think dressing gowns, towels, dresses, coats, jumpers and larger stuff like bedsheets and throws etc.
