We have nightly builds already and we will upload official 2.x and 3.x builds in a couple of weeks, after we test things with the official 3ds Max release.

      Best regards,

Installing 2015 seems to have messed my installation of Max 2012. No keyboard commands work. Even resetting to default did not help. Not sure how to dig myself out of this one.

Edit: Thank you Windows Restore Point.

THe rule of thumb with new MAX is:
Always use it after the first SP or PU is out
If youre a freelancer with one come, you can risk it but in production environment, its always very hard to switch the versions when you have to reinstall everythign on all the machines and rendernodes

I'm skipping 2015 for as long as I can, if not entirely. Apart from a minor viewport speed boost I see nothing in there that will be of use to me, unless someone finds some nice fixes or extras not discussed previously.

I have to agree. I already have quad chamfer script. I like the updated populate features but they are not a game changer for me. Accelerated viewport performance....well, they promised that for max 2013 but it didn't ever seem to get that much faster. I'm currently working on a high poly object in 2014 and viewport is not too bad but editing is still slow. Not much else to talk about. Vray has better active shade modes. I'm seriously considering moving to Maya.
                Regards

I'm sort of new to V-Ray and have a question. This seemed to be the right thread to ask it. I just started to install V-Ray for Max 2015 and the installer said it had to remove the current version to continue. I was attempting to install the version that I've been using for a month now with Max 2014. I stopped so that I would not undo all of the work it took me to get it installed on Max 2014. Does their license allow us to install in two concurrent versions of Max on the same machine?

                    Yes.

Also note that plugins for 3ds Max 2014 will not work for 3ds Max 2015 - you will need an updated V-Ray build.

                    Best regards,

Thanks Vlado for that prompt reply. Will keep a lookout for the new build in a few weeks. Regards...

I used Matchmover 2010 for this:

The last few times I needed Composite however, I gave up because it's unusable. Crashes every 2nd click
                          Kind Regards,
