  • What to do when UVUnwrap done?

    Hi all

So after I've unwrap my UV's and happy with the mapping, what do I do then with the modifier? Do I collapse the thing down to poly or how do I convert the uvunwrap to a normal uv?
    What's "industry standard"?
The models will be for others to use as completed assets
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

You can collapse it if it's done. I think you can re-add an unwrap modifier and continue work if you like.

I like to collapse to UVWUnwraps into the editable poly.
I have found on the odd occasion that if I leave an unwrap as a modifier and then re-visit other modifiers earlier in the stack (like a UVWmap operating in a different channel) I can lose all the work I've done in the unwrap modifier.
Not very often but really any effort to guard against not to have to do a UVWunwrap all over again is worthwhile!
