  • Who is usig Nitrous, Who is using direct3d ?

I always use Nitrous. MUCH faster than DirectX for almost all of our files. I rarely work with the realistic viewport, usually just simple shaded is fine.

Nitrous here. It seemed to have been broken in MAX 13, but is solid in MAX 14.

        nitrous here...seems faster/better than d3d.
usually using plain shaded but sometimes clay stylized is nice...

I was very lucky. The perfect 3ds max machine came up on the Dell Outlet for a little over half price.

I have the Quadro K5000, too, but not for 1/2 price . I think it is a major overkill and I really haven't seen any benefits.

it wouldn't be so painful for you, not seeing the benefit, if it was free

I've been using Nitrous ever since it became the default display option There was only one point where it wasn't cooperating with a graphics card and giving me strange effects with back faces.

so true...actually, I will say my Q-600 has at least been very reliable and consistent, although not a powerhouse and heavy scenes can get pretty slow VP...
Also heard the K2000 is sweet.

If I got a quadro for free i'd immediately sell it, guy a geforce and keep the change.

nitrous here. works p good, any issues are far outweighed by the benefits.
