I always use Nitrous. MUCH faster than DirectX for almost all of our files. I rarely work with the realistic viewport, usually just simple shaded is fine.
Video Card: Quadro K5000 (Work) / GTX 680 (Home) -
Nitrous here. It seemed to have been broken in MAX 13, but is solid in MAX 14.Bobby Parker

nitrous here...seems faster/better than d3d.
usually using plain shaded but sometimes clay stylized is nice...Comment

I have the Quadro K5000, too, but not for 1/2 price
. I think it is a major overkill and I really haven't seen any benefits.
