How to make this small model

Hello!
I am making a bunch of 3Form stuff, and am hoping to get suggestions for making this 1-leg spider joint.


I don't have any models, drawings, or even dimensions. I was just going to use primitives and basic modifiers and a few scripts like quad chamfer...

I would approach this as spline modeling plus surface modifier, and convert to poly at the end for the final touch..

Well, I ended up receiving an IGES file from 3form.
Then I imported it into max...total time spent was +/- 3 minutes.
Still would like to try to make it someday but in free time
