        we are running the Z820's at my office and they run V-Ray quite nicely but I do agree they are seriously overpriced esp concidering you can get off the shelf parts and build one yourself cheaper with better hardware.

            i've had a z820 for about a year.. dont really think they are worth the extra money, ok the case is compact (considering the alternatives), but i feel it runs too hot and noisy.

            I recently got another one spec'd up with 2x e5-2690v2 and was quoted something completely ridiculous, the price came down considerably when i pointed out that they were charging £2500 per cpu, despite the fact that you can buy them as an end consumer for £1500 each in the UK. (this was via a reseller, but the mistake was by HP)

            so after that experience i'm going with scan.co.uk for my next xeon based machine.
