Hi Thomas, only just had the chance to try v2. One question, was hoping old multitexture v1 materials would be compatible, but when i open an old scene, clicking the 'manage textures' button does nothing. (and it is not finding the old maps)

Yes, we've had to re-build older multitexture based materials too. Rather annoying. You can look at Asset Tracker to see which maps were being used. A colleague has hinted that perhaps using slate view with the material editor might help, but I haven't tested.
Yep, there seems to be an issue with some old scenes.
I've made a video to show the programmer the problem so he can fix it, you can see it here: http://www.cg-source.com/dev/oldscenesproblem.swf It also shows the relatively easy work around, but there should not be a reason to rebuild old materials.
Uploaded Ver 2.01 to the site which should fix every known bugs, if you already downloaded MultiTextue then you will be getting an email with the file attached, if not the files is available on the site.
