I'm doing a little animation here and I'm looking into "unrolling" geometry into place.
Here is a little example of what I mean :

This is done by animating a path deform, it's not too complicated but the process is a bit long, specially with a lot of geometry.
My main concern is that the uv doesn't stick really well, so I'm asking out loud if anyone has a better idea/way to achieve this result.
