yes, thats obvious, but I thought about something more sophisticated.

But - older projects may need an update from time to time and they tend to be extremely complex, so something with advanced functionality would be perfect.
Cinema supports FBX import/export, which means you can zap entire scenes with textures, correct UVs and even animation keyframes into Max, LW, Maya or XSI. If you're Max doesn't come with the importer, check Kaydara.com
