I have this wall treatment to be applied to a large wall. Assuming each 'strip' is 100mm, what ways would you suggest to create this? I considered displacement, but initial tests proved rubbish. I could model it I guess, but some sort of procedural/displaced surface just seems a more intelligent approach - assuming I had enough intelligence to work it out!

    Any pointers?
    Kind Regards,

Perhaps a few different wavey splines offset to create a random pattern, then extrude 100mm and shell backwards to create thickness would work. If it's too heavy in your viewport you could turn the extrude and shell modifiers off in viewport (right-click the modifier for that function).

Maybe forestpack would solve this, with some random variation of scale in various axes?

could do it with railclone pretty easy. forest pack would be considerably more difficult to control.

I would make one very long one, then put them ontop of each other and randomly offset them. And maybe collapse them in the end and remove the ends that are sticking out.
