MadCar trailer

It's kinda weird that I need to post here about this, but does anyone know how to make the trailer feature of MadCar work? The MadCar manual doesn't really explain it, I can't find any tutorials on the net about it (though there are several vids showing it in action), and haven't received any help from the forum on the topic. Just a sample file that contains only the helper objects would make me happy.
