  • Save down Mat lib?

    Hello!

I hade jumped to Max 2015 and unfortunately I ran to major stability issues with Wacom and Spacemouse drivers using Max 2015, these were confirmed by Autodesk as capability issues with Wacom and Spacemouse and have yet to be resolved.

I had to revert back to Max 2014 but while on 2015 I created several mat library's and now I cant open those in 2014.

Is there a way to save them down?

    I would appreciate any advise!

It's really frustrating that there is no option to save matlibs as older versions. What I've done in past is create a new scene with a bunch of sphere/cube or whatever objects in it, assign each object a different material from the library and save the max file as older version. Now you should be able to load it as a material library in older versions (just choose *.max file type when browsing).
    Hope it helps!
