radiance renderer for max !!!

Harald Blab from Habware and the guys around Lichtplaner.com have build a fully working and very enhanced max renderer based on radiance!!!

There is a Demo download for max 4,5,6 which limits the rendersize to 512x512px. ...anyway you can see how FAST Radiance for max really is ... it's *at least* at vray speed!

no competition for vray or other 3d max renderer.

i agree.

but it is not fair to compare them though, as radiance is not focussed on dcc but rather on scientific analysis. so dont judge it too hard unless you want an exact numeric illustration on how sunlight falls through a certain glazed facade

still, radiance had all the features which are described as "hot" today already many many years ago. but very few really could/wanted to use that commandline app back then, thats why this max plugin is pretty interesting for some folks. not for dcc as i mentioned.

in some case its really fast, and the quality is really nice.(saturation is naturally handled very well) But I think also that it is not a competition for those who needs speed. But interesting to see new waves. I mean to try out other things.
