Using my logitech with the default windows drivers. I do not have the ability to map any of the macro buttons but the DPI and poll rate functions built into the G602 work independently of the SetPoint software and I have had no issues.

The SetPoint software is very heavy in my experience as well.

Logitech MX Revolution all the way! (Unfortunately discontinued, but sometimes they pop up used or almost new.)

I have also a nice wireless Scope Node mouse that's great, but is for tiny hands only, so it sits on my shelf.

Have you tried their Gaming software driver (not Setpoint), since you have a G series mouse?

This one does look interesting (same as Bobby posted):

One of my colleagues has been looking for a good mouse with a dedicated middle button, this is right up his alley.
