  • Material variation/iteration script?

Does anyone remember a material variation script that was posted here a while back? I believe you would select the variables you wanted to see and it would render out the variations. Thanks

Yep, I did one. It's called Tweaker

Colin, I just tried it out in Max 2015 (64b) SP3 and I get an error: --No ""getPropNames"" function for undefined and line 101 is highlighted in the MaxScript window on line 101: local cProps = getPropNames tw.obj.controller (I'm trying to run variations on a dent map used as a displacement.) The properties of the map come up in the far right column, but none and accessable. Max just beeps when I try to double click a property. Any ideas?

One sec Jeff. Let me look at it. I wrote it back in Max 2009, so let me fix any issues with 2015 and get back with you in a few minutes.

I've updated it to version Tweaker_11 on my site that works great with Max 2015. It's now able to be installed as a button and is located under category: ColinScripts. Select "Pick Map" browse down to "Scene Materials" and locate your Dent map (I tested this, works great).

Please report back your eminent success .

Haha, no problem. It needed to be updated anyway. Enjoy.
