  • Sige RALsolidColor texture - gamma question

I need to assign RAL colours and siger has a free script for this. In their texture you can also select the gamma.

My question however, does their gamma asume your system is setup for 2.2? Because if you add whatever gamma in their system, but you switch of max material affected by gamma and color pickers etc, then the siger gamma is questionable

I'm after specific colours, and even if I google images of it those colours, I get way different results.

My photoshop doesnt seem to have RAL colours either so I cant even verify there...
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

    nevermind
a "RAL color chart" google did the trick

so then if max is setup to 2.2, then you also need to add 2.2 in the RALcolorSolid it seems, then its pretty close to what it should be
    Kind Regards,

      Hi,
if your workflow gamma 2.2 - enter gamma correction value 2.2 (darkening color). Color data a bit obsolete. In near future plans new plugin for RAL colors with updated color data (old data from Autocad RAL palette).

Whenever I have a color to match, I go to

          http://www.easyrgb.com/index.php?X=SEEK

And do a <Photoshop swatch> with the RGB, load it as a bitmap in 3dsMax, and therefor more flexible for gamma setup.
