  • Slow to merge

I have a file that is getting rather large. I am not sure if the file size is relevant, but it is taking 2-3 minutes to merge models into the scene. Is there any tricks to speed this up?

Make sure the maps are not visible in the viewport in both the master and the merged scene.
Check your procedural and backed maps size as well in the viewport config, bring them back to 512 or less for merging.

beside some "nodetrack" or "Retimer" issues, 90% of the time, it's a viewport issue that slows my scene to open or merge or xref.
Fix by using Mr Cleaner or delete retimer :

Sometimes, I have to revert to direct x if any of the above solution works.

      Hope this helps
