  • Backburner launching and getting 'stuck'

I have a troublesome render box that I am trying to kick into touch.

It has Win7x64, plenty of RAM (32GB) and a good i7 CPU. It isn't overclocked, just a pretty basic setup.

When I launch backburner (2014) it connects to our backburner manager just fine. When I send a simple test scene to it from my workstation, I can see the bb server window launching 3dsmax, and the 3dsmax.exe process kicks in and the RAM usage starts to build. However, it builds to 243MB RAM and just freezes with 13% CPU usage (1 core).

I have uninstalled backburner and reinstalled. Deleted the backburner folder and no change.

What else should I look at?

    (firewall is turned off)
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

Can you post the full log from the BB server ?
Are you able to render on this machine from 3ds Max directly ?
