  • Aligning Walls & Tiles

Is it me or does the view-port not match the render? It's impossible to align brick when what you see in the view-port isn't what is rendered.

I don't know but they look different in proportions and the space in the middle too.... besides that it looks very dumb to have brick there.
    show me the money!!

They are just off... shaded mode reads different then rendered, so I have to guess. Now, the placement of brick isn't up to me.

Is it a bitmap or a prosedural map? For prosedurals it's usually a bit more difficult to get the viewport display to match the render (especially in object space), but it definitely shouldn't be a problem for bitmaps. Are they using the right UVs?

Use the real world map size, it was broken in the first version two years back but it has been fixed since and give exact same in render than view-port.
little trick : You need to enable the display of the bercon and then the shader.

Make sure your object is right in proportion (reset xform if needed) so that your UVMap real world is right.

If any other issue, send me a plane with mats and I'll have a look.

By the way, I'm on version 1.3.2

          Cheers

Thanks! I'll refer back to this post when I revisit the project.

If you have a vray displacement mod above the uvw map it doesn't update moving the uv gizmo in the viewport, the displace mod has to be switched on and off..
