compared to the expanders on the market from cubix etc, the old quadro plex boxes from nvidia are available for peanuts on ebay, either with their old fx series gpus in, and sometimes empty.
what i want to know is this.. can i get one and stick some titans in there?
im guessing not. there will be some stupid artificial limitation im sure.
a) ive seen *one* person claiming to have set up a system with a used quadro plex and some geforce gpu's
b) ive seen *one* comment along the lines of "forget using different gpus in them, they need a specific fx series card with modified "plex" bios."
so as is usual with internet research, after searching, im more confused than before ( is there a name for this phenomenon? there should be)
