its a pretty simple repeat. id just perspective correct a single tile of that carpet in photoshop and trace over it at a higher resolution. make a b/w mask and use that to drive all your max stuff.

BTW-I used Seamless Texture Generator from http://www.seamlesstexturegenerator.com/index.html to extract it from the photo. It hasn't been updated in forever (ever?) but it's a quick and dirty way to make tileable textures just by selecting four corner points.
