I dont know if this has been posted before but I just saw this pop up on one of the threads on another forum and it looks pretty sweet. It seems a lot like the V-Ray VFB but with more options to control colour correction and DOF. There is a 30 day trial that Im going to try out Ill post my findings in a week or two if anyone is interested, also interested in others comments that may have or do use this already.

There is a demo video as well that looks impressive.

Tried it. Not terribly impressed. It seemed very, very sluggish on my system (and I have a good one) and would not allow me to adjust while rendering (a killer).

The DOF has the same issues as all post DOF, i.e. halos around in focus elements.

No offense meant, but I can get a better image out of the new Vray FB - although I would like to see Chaos steal a few ideas like Rich Shadows, Chromatic Aberation, Sharpening and Noise Reduction.

No offense taken at all, I see all feedback good or bad, informative

This one is actually on V-Ray. It's already fixed for the next patch (30.20.03) and in the nightly/stable builds.

          Best regards,

Would love to hear more about what you mean. Is this only when things like DOF and noise reduction are active, or overall experience?

Have you tried with an unfiltered depth buffer? I have only experienced halos with filtered depth buffers or when the direction is set the wrong way (white is near vs. white is far).

A reasonable statement and no offense taken. When this project was started, VRay users weren't the target audience, though back then the VRay VFB was much simpler. Nevertheless, quite a few VRay users seem to have adopted it.

UPDATE: So far I haven't gotten it to run and 5min after installing it I had to remove it due to a couple of errors at startup that it was giving me. Ive sent an email to the programer and will hopefully get it figured out. In the mean time I cant do much right now as Im swamped but will update this thread if I can find it in a few days if I get a chance to play with VFB+ again.
                Cheers,

According to the screenshots I received the startup errors were unrelated to VFB+, they were about the VrayLightLister script.

Additionaly, a new update has been released which fixes a couple of bugs, and now also hooks into Vray VFB's 'track mouse' feature.
