  • how to path constrain camera NOT affected by timeline? Like 3dsmax path constrain?

    Hi,

How do I do this in Maya?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rCM...ature=youtu.be

I want to be able to move cameras along a circle with the transform tool NOT the timeline. I want to be able to duplicate the camera along the spline and move them wherever I want and not be affected by the timeline at all.

Everything I can find about this seems to say to use the attach to motion path and I can attach a Camera and Aim to a motion path and reconnect the aim but it is still just controlled by the timeline and when I try and translate the camera it goes off the path in whatever direction. I want it to be locked to the spline!

Here is how I am attaching the camera to my path currently

There is an animCurveTL attached to the "U value" of the motionPath. This is what you must disconnect.
