  • Hi-res satellite imagery of grass/lawns mowed fields ?

Does anyone know where I can get anything like this from ? I've looked on google but can't find any resource for this kind of thing.

Depending on the resolution you need, you might find you can download some imagery on Earth Explorer (http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/) It's a bit fiddly but there's all kinds of datasets available including aerial photography. Here's an example map I've downloaded.

It uses Google Maps to find locations but then you can also access many other data sources including Hi Res Ortho imagery.

            Ah right,

Thanks for the info, although it seems to be limited to the US as I tried both Australia and Europe and didn't find any images.

            Cheers

Yes, unfortunately I think the Hi Res stuff is mostly in the US. Ok if you just want some generic textures, but not so good if you need it for a particular site.
