  • Self host your portfolio images or use something like Flickr?

    Hi all

How do you guys like to host your portfolio images on your own site? Do you use the same webserver your site is on, or do you prefer something like Flickr or other free 3rd party site and just hyperlink?

What would you say is the pros and cons?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Hosting is so insanely cheap that I can't really see the benefit of using a 3rd party site. Not to mention that you will be at their whim when it comes to enabling/disabling hotlinking - so all of your images might not even appear on your own site.

That said, services like Behance's 'pro sites' are a pretty elegant way to host your images on their servers and have a fairly nice front end built around them automatically.
