  • Revit export

I need a huge favor. A client sent me a Revit model, however, I can't link it into MAX. I am assuming that they are using Revit 2016 and I am on MAX 2015. The client hasn't returned my email requesting an FBX or 3DS, so I was hoping someone here could export it for me. I haven't' had a need to purchase Revit. Please, let me know. Thanks!

Just in case you come across this. I opened the model, in the 3D view, and exported as an ICF. With the above utility, I was able to import it into MAX.

Confused, what did you open the revit file in? You said you don't have revit. If you were able to open it in revit why not just save it as a FBX.

I opened Revit as a viewer. When you install Revit, in the programs folder, you'll see a Revit Viewer.

Oh. Interesting that it will allow you to export out of revit viewer. Thx.
