Is there a way to detach elements that have been attached? I attached all my glass, which has the same ID, but now I want to undo that?

do you mean you want to detach the glass from elements into objects, or have you welded the vertices and want to get back to individual elements?

the first is easy, second, not so much.

to explode elements into objects, convert to editable mesh, element suboject, select all, scroll down to "explode" and set angle there next to the button to 180. make sure it is set to "object" then hit explode! it will ask you for a base name for the objects it will create.

it will spit out a load of seperate objects and leave your editable mesh empty (you can delete it for neatness)

if youve welded a load of elements together... erm.. anyone else?

you should also be able to go to sub object (element) just select the material id and detach as well. this will only work if all your glass has the same material id, which is also different to everything else.

all the glass has the same material. I want all the glass to be its own pane. Now, everything is one.
