  • Stone Library

I am looking for a really good stone library. Have the Arrow-way ones, but most are pretty unique and I don't see them ever being used in a real project. I am looking for fieldstone and river rock. I found one site, however their textures repeat badly.

Grab your camera, and head out to somewhere in MN with those rocks Bobby. Call it a day trip and take the afternoon off .

You would think something like Railclone would work, but I didn't find anything on their website. Just like Walls & Tiles for brick, only for random sized stone.

Scroll down to Rule 10, might help for this sort of thing.

I saw that, but didn't think it would work. However it might, so maybe it might be a reason for me to purchase RailClone.

Railclone isn't ideal for this since all the stones in a row would basically need to be the same height. I have done some paver patterns but its quite time consuming because you have to build the pattern (not random a regular pattern) at an angle that will repeat straight across.

These types of stone are something I have never found good textures of unfortunately. Max or revit comes with one that looks like that though, almost exactly, but its rather small and tiles quickly but might work depending on how much area you are covering.

I used that one on this project

I ended up using an Arrrow-Way one and just color corrected it. The owner was perfectly happy with it.
