hair & fur - random lines

Been trying to use hair & fur to make a simple piece of artwork (clients very specific request based on their idea that they wished they owned, oddly enough) and i'm getting these random hairs stretching off into the distance whenever i render. Anyone seen this before?




E: I did a test to find out where they're going and they're all stretching out to 0,0,0

do you have a texture clipping tip length? I think its due to that.

I do, yes!

Using scale instead and it doesnt change the look too much. Strange bug.

funny enough I know about this bug since shave v6 in maya I've reported it but its being ignored and still is around even today!
