Point Clouds

Does anyone know of any (preferably open-source) tools that can import point-cloud data in a number of formats and export to .rcs, or .rcp, so that I can import it into Max? Strange that Max and AutoCAD don't read the same point cloud formats. And just as strange that Photoscan doesn't export to any of the ones they do.

I'm just experimenting with some workflow options.

Autodesk Recap? if you have a subscription you would be able to use it....Trial version of Rhino could work too.
