  • Noise Reduction Software

Vlad mentioned that most people handle noise in post. What is the best software for noise reduction. I have Google DENOISE, but it doesn't work very good.

NeatImage is one that was popular at one time.

Actually I think photoshop can denoise if you open as raw your image in it there is a whole noise section there...which is essentially like neat image.

I was looking at Neat yesterday. All the reviews were positive, however, people felt tricked in having to purchase the pro version.

I've just tried Denoiser II on an interior animation rendered with brute force and results suprised me. works really good. not Altus magic but still saves a lot of render time.
And ages ago I was using NeatImage as well. Have to try google thing. Photoshop noise removal is not very usable.

So far, this seems to be the best. I used their presets and it took almost 100% of the noise out on some test renderings I am working on.

Yep but it's locked down to PS, no AFX version, so mostly for stills

I like to have a noise reduction plug that works in AFX so it works for our stills and animations
