  • repetitive circle texture

    hello,

i need to make a infinite repetitive offseted circle texture... so juste a circle in a circle in a circle etc...

any eay way to do this ?

Make a grey image in photoshop, add noise, radial blur it fully and then use curves to make the lines only black and white.

but no easy way to get clean lines where you specify the thickness and the spacing (even approximatively) ?

Hmm - depending on how many lines you wanted you could do it with a radial gradient map with solid interpolation, otherwise you're into using illustrator or another vector package which can easily do offsets.

you could use a gradient ramp set to solid, and radial mode.. with as many black /white transitions as you can fit in the antiquated non scalable interface. then use that to drive further nested gradient ramps , solid , and mapped mode. that way each black/white division /circle in the original gradient ramp will be subdivided into many black/white circles by the second gradient ramp. any further nested ones will subdivide it further.. you should be able to reach close enough to "infinite" for most purposes.

            Or just use BerconGradient.

For maximum control, you can create a bunch of circle shapes in Max with Renderable thickness, then render them out.
