so, If I have one floor as Xref and I want this to be copied, do I need to make another Xref linked to a new dummy? or is there a way to duplicate or array an Xref file?

You can do this multiple ways.

1 - Create single Floor and then save this file as Typical_Floor_A_XRef.max (Or whatever your naming structure). Now in the main building file, link that XRef into the scene as many times as needed. The first XRef should be in the correct location. As you keep adding in that same XRef file, just link them to a dummy and move up the appropriate floor offset. NOTE: Each time you add the floor, it will be considered a new COPY of the file.

2 - Create a single floor as above, but in this file, instance the floors vertically. Save this file as Typical_Floors_A_Lvl_10-22_XRef.max. When you XRef that file into the main bldg scene, it will be just a single XRef file with all of the floors instanced inside of it. May be a little lighter memory footprint for rendering.
