  • Max viewport - set default to "shaded"

    Hi all

Is there a way to set the default mode for viewport to shading mode? Everytime I restart max, it's back to "realistic"
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

    HI Morné,

Have you tried tweaking your maxstart ?

It's not something that gets saved within the max file. I'm hoping it's a setting that is exposed via ini or maxscript
      Kind Regards,
      Morne

Hi there, I meant that the realistic Rendering Level of the Viewport in real time is not that good as in Shaded Mode.. And most times I find the Orthographic mode way more precise to model..
Nothing too important, just to justify Morne decition to use shade mode over the Realistic default one.. capiche?
                Regards

Ah yes, I understand. However, I tend to use Realistic mode quite often to place lights, so ...
