  • Need help to import a revit file (RFA)

I'd like to import this table

    http://www.livingdivani.it/EN/Produc...lia_p2236.aspx

... But we don't have revit, if some kind soul could export it from revit to any importable format (in a Solid format, it would be a plus it the revit file is a solid object)

    Thanks in advance !

I posted something awhile back about that. A trial of Revit allowed me to export.

+1 What Bobby said. Install a trial, then instead of opening Revit, open Revit viewer. From there export to ifc
Then get the free ifc importer for Max
      Kind Regards,

It's a loophole that I am sure Autodesk close.

Guys. I was able to ask the technicians and managers of the development of many parts of 3ds max.

RFA is the internal extension for Revit Families libraries. For that reason it is impossible and illogical to direct Importancion.

What you have to do is insert the Family (.rfa) to a blank proyecyto Revit and save the link to the format that you want.

The best way is to export the file to CAD format, this family with their assigned materials properly.

Then do the import or link, for material.

          Cheers

NOTE: remember de units and ACSISolid.

Yes but you missed the point where the OP said they don't have REVIT. You can only export to CAD if you have a license

Thanks all for your answers, this is insightful

A friend was able to export me the geometry. It was triangles, I don't know if it is possible to export "object"/ NURBS/ IGES geometry from REvit but in this case, as simple mesh was enough
