  • Fume FX + vray = network rendering question

    Hello guys,

i am sure some of you are using Fume FX and i ve been wondering how you do your network rendering when computing animations?
On the Fume FX website its absolutelly unclear if we need to buy rendering licences along with Fume (or how many render licences are attached to FumeFX by default) so we can make use of our 12 node renderfarm.
Planning to use Bacburner to render the fume solution.

Any help woudl be highly appreciated!

    Thank you!

perhaps using vray volumetric grid would get me around this safely ???

    BTW:
we d love to use Phoenix FD, we actually bought the licence but we cant make it to work at all.
It always kills the vrl service somehow and ungly plays with the licences accross our machines.

Phx doesn't need license for rendering.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Probably best to email them. You could also try volume grid too but there might be complications there... I found this doc, but it completely does not make sense! more render nodes cost less? and unlimited is $6000? Lol

For the phoenix, it should work just fine. Do you have the latest installer? Phoenix by default reads vray license server. And phoenix license should be installed in the vray dongle. So if vray works so should phoenix.
