No, just sharing. I thought the specs were insane for a laptop.

32GB RAM and an 8GB video card, in a laptop. This laptop is beefier than my workstation.

Well nothing surprising really. The only problem of such laptops is cooling. So for example they advertise turbo boost up to 3.7 , but they are not saying that with their shitty cooling system this turboboost lasts for about half a minute After that speed goes even lower than the standard 3.2 speed (for example). The only way of such laptops is custom watercooling.
              Available for remote work.

I decided to buy a dell xps? (I think) 4 years ago to do some work on the go, so I bought one with some beefy specs that would allow me to really work. Well apparently wrists aren't part of the equation when using this thing. Under heavy load the parts where yours writs lie gets so insanely hot that you have to hold a very weird position with your hands. :P
                Cheers,

Ouch! Other than that, how'd it work for you? I wasted my money on a MacBook Pro and 27" Thunderbolt, which other than the glamour, is useless for me. My plans were to use the MBP for Photoshop, however, it didn't work out that way. My kids play games on it, which I like seeing them have fun, so that almost makes it worth it.

I used a MacBook Pro for 3 years and it was the best laptop I've owned. Although I used it more like a desktop than a laptop. Bootcamp Windows 7 with a USB mouse & keyboard. But it held up over the years, even did some light rendering. And the best part is I could actually resell it for some decent scratch.

As of right now the laptop is in my office next to my workstation and gets used for browsing/searching and saving reference images and listening to music. Best money spent in a while *sarcasm* :/ And obviously 2 weeks after the warranty period was over the power supply went on a permanent vacation, meaning the Laptop doesn't work if its not connected to a power outlet.
To be honest that was my first and last DELL experience.
                      Cheers,
                      Oliver

I have had a macbook pro with bootcamp for quite a few years now and it has lasted really well.
Sure the dual core CPU isn't great now it still works perfectly. Almost time for a new one

I never installed Bootcamp, but I probably should give it a try.
