The 3D work is nice enough but the intro is horrific... Why so dramatic? I got a minute in and just skipped through the rest.

The whole thing is terrible. if it was made in 2005 it would be pretty forgettable.

ahh its boring allright, but "these people should be banished" ?! really? somebody gets cushy jobs to work on too often.

very often dull films like this are a direct result of client intervention. f.e. was working on one recently where we had an interesting signed off storyboard, and lots of time to finish. client suddenly informed us design had changed, deadline was unmovable, and we needed to remodel. then proceeded to send us the worlds most boring voiceover ( not an exaggeration) which had no gaps and bore no relation to the storyboard. so, we had 3 weeks to do a 3 month job, and the storyboard had gone out of the window in exchange for, basically, an animated powerpoint presentation. you kinda lose all ambition in that scenario and just want to get it out the door.

it nice to be in a position to tell a client to go "f**k off" but its not often practical or clever to do so.

Not just practical and clever, but benificial in the long run too. We have fired so many clients for trying to pull shit on us. If your contracts are rock solid then you can do what you want. Dont let other people make you do bad work.

it sounds like an ideal position to be in. however i dont have the luxury of being able to fire clients.. and a lot of smaller companies are in the same boat. also good luck getting that "rock solid contract" enforced with an overseas client.
