Tons of emails and phone calls from archviz companies

Are you too getting every day emails, linkedin invites, and phone calls from archviz firms from eastern europe, china and india?
Being in archviz myself, it's so depressing! This market seems to be overly saturated. No? It makes me feel hesitant to do marketing myself.

All the time. I don't worry about it. People in the US, for the most part, try to keep the work in the states. For the ones you fall for the low prices get burned and come back. Email marketing just looks like spam and isn't taken too seriously.

I wouldn't do phone calling either. Without that and emails, there's not much left marketing-wise. no?
Regular mail is just as bad.
I'm not sure if it's...proper to ask this, but what do you do for your marketing?

how on earth did you get the *top spot* in google for "exterior renderings"?! i know a ton of massive companies who offer exterior renderings to enormous world-class clients, , and none of them are even on the first page.!?

do you pay for a ranking like that or are you really the number one exterior rendering expert in the world :P


(no offence like, i know you are good, but your work tends to be for smaller residential clients )

edit: by the way this is the top spot on google in *italy* of all places.. not even a localised US search..

Many years ago it was a lot easier to rank and once you get there, it's pretty hard to get knocked off. There are tons of factors and it always changes. I was 1st page for Architectural Renderings, too, but that has fallen to the second page. I just started trying for that key phrase a year ago and I haven't tried very hard due to time constraints.

but what does the "trying" consist of? its a mystery to me.. ive never looked into it..

You have to work around key words and key phrases. First, you have to keep your website updated because Google likes fresh content. When you write your content you have to use your key words/phrases organically through your content. When people do find your site they need to stay on it for awhile (bounce rate), which shows Google that people are liking what they find. Also, people of like sites linking (back links) to your site is important, too. Usually, forum links (signature) don't work for back links because forums usually have nofollow rules. It is a science, but these are the basics.

I am on most social media outlets, however, most all of my traffic comes organically (Google search). If you use Google Analytics, you can see everything pertaining to your traffic.
