Lightning

Saw a model on the back cover of one of my wife's magazines that looked a bit CGI. Out of curiosity, I Googled the ad and found that digital celebrity has come of age. The character called "Lightning" from Final fantasy is now being used to model clothes in fashion magazines. Must be a shortage of real life skinny girls to model the latest fashions.

As far as I understand this this is actually pretty common in Japan and will probably only be seen more in the future. On one hand I find it kinda weird that game characters pose for real life fashion and accessories but apparently there seems to be a market for it in terms of character recognition etc. Saw of few others of the same series a while ago. Though its interesting why this one made it overseas since the game was pretty miserable received here.
