Show end result toggle

After all my years with Max, you'd think I'd know this by now.... Most of the time the "Show end result toggle" will stay on when you click it on and not go off until you need to turn it off. But sometimes it will only stay on for as long as you're pressing on it. Does anyone know the scenarios that cause it not to hold?

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is the FFD modifiers (box & cyl) not the presets (2x2...etc.) though.

I rebooted Max and now my object is working fine.

Same question. Always with the sweep, it seems to happen too often. Just a simple spline with a sweep mod.
Restart max fixes problem temporarily.
I would like a true fix, any ideas? Other than ditching 3dsmax :P
It's been a major problem in every max version I have tried, up to 2016...

Have you reported it to Autodesk? Looks like something that they should be able to fix easily.
