  • Bushes

I have a lot of bushes to build. These are not simple rows; they are large areas. I purchased some models, which are single bush branches, and I am using Forest Pro to scatter them. It's not looking very good. Any other ideas?

I'm sure that's how pretty much everybody else would do it (except for that one guy that still use multiscatter and for that other guy that still does it old school with pflow)

Do you have a reference pic of how it is suppose to look, and also what you came up with so far? It's probably as simple as adjusting your forest settings
    Kind Regards,

last time we did bushes we created mesh object for the master shape and the applied FP to scatter leaves and little branches around it
      worked great!

Are you trying to just scatter single models ? i would say make a clump of bushes say 5 m x 5 m and get that looking nice. Using Forest Pro tinting / rotation / scale etc then start scattering that clump and use the same procedure

I have 4 or 5 branches that I am using. Some of the bushes are in some tight shapes, so I can't make the clumps too large.

You can use a forest object in another forest system. What a lot of people will do is as lee mentioned, make a small circular or square shape and then use forest to scatter your bushes in that. When you've got something you like, you then use this first small forest as an object to be scattered by the main large forest that you're using for your main scene.

This is going to explain it perfectly for you - http://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/tu...for_stills.php
