  • Realsitic Trees

Does anyone recommend a tree library. I have some good ones, but a client says that they look fake. I have several Evermotion, iCube, CGaxis... I am just wondering if there is something better.

I have both the Evermotion ones. I never heard of the other; I'll check it out.

It could have a lot to do with the color - i've never used an evermotion tree without customizing the hue/gamma of the leaf to match the material palette and lighting of the scene. makes a world of difference getting them to sit together.

Yes, probably worth investing time into that, but who has time?

Grow FX seems to be pretty popular. I'll keep it on my radar.

The latest pack (163) is, imo, the first tree-pack that is great out of the box.

We just bought this actually - not had chance to sort them out yet. they definitely look pretty good.

Bobby, get in the habit of doing it - most evermotion trees can be fixed by switching the diffuse to sit in a color correct and banging the hue 20 points to the left. it takes 10 seconds, you dont need to test the render its just make sure the leaf isnt neon green or blue. makes a world of difference when they all sit in the same kind of range.
