  • wifi instead of cable?

So things getting faster and faster and I was thinking about going form standard cable to wifi for all my workspace network. Does anyone of you guys use it for work or it's still faster to do it through cable?
I heard very good opinions on Asus https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC88U/ . What's your tak on it?

Ooooh NOOOOO you will soon change your mind on that once you tried it. I would highly recommend staying on cable!

It's great if you want to connect to the server and use email and word and excel, but for HIGH in/out traffic like opening/saving huge max files, textures, DR etc, you will be making a HUGE mistake here. Stick to cable for now
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Im currently running this router https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC5300/ and although I love it there is no replacement yet for a gigabit hardline. If Im working on a smaller job and dont want to work in my office then I use my laptop over wireless and it works awesome and is faster than the hardline at my other office running at 100baseT which seriously sucks but thats a hole other rant. For the most part the wireless is very fast but when working with files that are 500MB+ then it can become frustrating if you are not a patient person like me lol.
      Cheers,
