  • Why are RGB colour values in Photoshop not represented the same in Max ??

I've been wanting to know the answer to this for a long time......

If I pick and choose a nice colour in Photoshop, and I make a note of the RGB values (0-255) and use those same numbers in Max (also 0-255), I get two totally different colours !

As can be seen from below - I've created a blue in Photoshop and in Max those same RGB numbers come out as Purple !

I'm pretty sure that I'm working in the correct color space, Gamma is correct etc etc, and my renders saved from VFB and brought into PS always look identical etc etc.

It's just this RGB identical values not giving the same colours in Max issue that baffles me (and colour are often out by a mile).

    Any guidance please ?

    Many thanks.

    Kindest regards,
