  • Camera Match

When you get your camera match way wonky, how do you reset it. A new camera doesn't.

hmmm... 2017 and I can't seem to find a way, other than new scene, which is stupid. How about a reset button!

yeah...that blows.....I immediately got frustrated with it and dropped it.

I just go old school and do it by eye these days. The new physical camera has some nice settings (lens shift & tilt correction) in it for tweaking though..

Apparently, using 2016 cameras in 2017 is a no/go. One project crashed when I picked a camera and this project the correct perspective doesn't work. Creating new cameras in both projects solved both issues.

its a crazy wonky feature, i remember spending half a day once matching some cameras, moving one point moves all points sometimes and it gets so crazy, nothing as smooth as the autodesk videos, very frustrating

SketchUp does it right. When I saw AD's utility, I expected it to be easy, but it got wonky really fast.

The perspective one is better, but as you found out, it gets wonkly fast.

So just use the old CamMatch with the cam point helpers. You only need 5 points.
