I wondered if there was a 'CGI-equivalent' of this by now? In other words, Matterport is for existing buildings/spaces. Anyone know how we could create virtual ones? I remember the old days using Lightscape to calculate lighting (similar to LC/IRmap I guess) that you can then move around. This was slightly similar, though nothing like as good as Matterport of course. Lightfield techniques may open up something I guess, but I wondered if there were any other options?
