  • Printer recommendations (up to A2) ?

    We're considering purchasing a dedicated printer for the printing of 3d visuals of office interiors.

    Any model recommendations ?

    We only need to go up to A2 in print size.

    (it's been a while since I last needed my own dedicated printer).

    Many thanks.
    Jez

    Generally the ink gets cheaper the larger the printer gets, so it might work out better to get A1 perhaps in the medium to long term.

    I know when I needed a printer the A3 vs A2 option, a2 was cheaper after only one set of ink for example. Printing is a pain in the arse tho, i wouldn't recommend it.

      Unfortunately not an option - we often print for pitches and presentations, using an A1 plotter for that, poor quality-wise.

      I'm now thinking more to looking towards what a Photographer might use.

        My colleague has an Canon Pixma Pro 10S which prints up to A3+ and the quality is absolutely staggering. He prints his photos on it and you would never guess that they weren't developed professionally. I have no idea about ink/paper costs but I imagine that they're not cheap.

          Thanks AJ - exactly the answer I was looking for.

          I think though that this one might be more Pro and suitable;

            Well yes obviously you'd be getting a printer that a photographer uses... eg the epson 4900. Something like that can print off a roll of photo paper.

            I dunno if the situation has changed but the epsons were regarded as the best 5 yrs ago. However Canon was only just getting into the wide format / pro photographer game at that point.
