It baffles me that Photoshop is still so behind on 32bit editing and EXR support. I know this gets said in every thread but damn does it deserve repeating. Otherwise thanks for the link!
    Cheers,

Does affinity work natively with EXR's the way this plugin seems to work with photoshop? Looks amazing and very useful. And yes, Affinity looks very promising too!

Yes you don't need EXR plugins for Affinity, even reads multichannel!

thanks for this suggestion, I'm try it asap
I have already tried affinity as well but it seems to me still slower than phs ...maybe it' s because I still use 16 bit not 32 ( too much for my needs)

Affinity needs scripting / actions badly!! For high end stuff we rely on actions every day and loads of our own tools. But otherwise Affinity is an amazing tool!

What about reloading layers? I've become really used to in PS I now never have to manually reload a layer each time I have to re-render. Just open up PS, click the update all button, and I get all of my shiny new updated renders.

I haven't gone into it deeply but it's called macros and to me they seem a lot more userfriendly. I don't know about the scripting though.

Ah missed that, will check them out, but yeah Python would be a huge win, although lots of people want action/javascript for legacy reasons. I hope they think forward!

I asked them about this and they said something similar is planned for Affinity Designer and then they'll port that to Photo

The macros are currently very limited, it only records some things but again, I asked and they said they are working on it.

The one where in PS is part of the exposure tool? Affinity's one is in the Levels adjustment.

In general they are very quick with updates, on the beta there's a new one almost every 2 or 3 days and their forums are very busy and you get fast responses
                        Kind Regards,
