Don't think this will live very long. I think this breaks the TOA of google earth. But useful nonetheless.

edit: Seems like he uses openstreetmap. Great.

The guy who is coding this plug-in has several other tools available in warehouse...I assume he is aware of all the legal part regarding the data, google or openstreetmap.
the matching camera with google street view is great....maybe using camera projection mapping would help to create more realistic context, etc.
